It has been a standout year for the London Mavericks pathway, with all four stages securing silverware across the season. From NXT Gen through to U15 level, Mavericks were the only franchise to medal at every stage of the pathway, highlighting the strength, consistency and depth of talent developing throughout the programme.

With two titles and two bronze medals secured across the year, there has been plenty to celebrate throughout the Mavericks pathway.

The season finished on a high in September as the Mavericks U15 squad were crowned 2026 School Games champions.

Mavericks enjoyed an outstanding competition, winning six of their seven matches across the weekend. Consistently strong performances through the group and placing stages earned them a place in the final against an unbeaten Manchester Thunder side.

Saving one of their best performances for the biggest stage, Mavericks secured an impressive 36-29 victory to lift the title and round off a hugely successful weekend.

The Mavericks U17s added another medal to the pathway’s tally with bronze at the NPL Tournament in June.

Mavericks won three of their four matches across the weekend, going unbeaten in the group stage with victories including a commanding 37-17 win over Nottingham Forest and a closely fought 22-21 result against Loughborough Lightning.

A narrow 23-19 defeat to Manchester Thunder followed in the playoffs, but the squad responded strongly in their final ranking match, beating Leeds Rhinos (Yorkshire) 23-20 to secure the bronze medal.

Mavericks U19 also came away from the NPL Tournament with a bronze medal following an impressive weekend of performances.

The U19s won three of their four matches, going unbeaten through the group stage with victories over Team Bath and Manchester Thunder before edging Pulse Power 27-25 in the playoffs.

Their campaign concluded with an incredibly close 24-23 defeat to Loughborough Lightning in their final ranking match, securing another podium finish for the Mavericks pathway.

Mavericks NXT Gen set the tone for the pathway’s success when they secured the NXT Gen League title in May.

An outstanding campaign saw Mavericks win 13 of their 16 matches, demonstrating impressive consistency across the season to finish at the top of the table, three points clear of second-placed Loughborough Lightning.

The league title capped a brilliant campaign for NXT Gen and provided another demonstration of the quality of young talent progressing through the Mavericks pathway.
