We’re so excited to welcome back our returning Partner Schools for another season, alongside some brilliant new schools joining the London Mavericks family for the first time!

Through our Partner School Programme, we’re creating and supporting more opportunities for women and girls to thrive on and off the court, while working together to build inclusive and inspiring sporting environments across our region.

We’re incredibly proud to see the programme continue to grow and can’t wait for another exciting year with our Partner Schools!

“Mill Hill School is proud to partner with London Mavericks, providing our pupils with access to elite coaching, inspirational role models and pathways to high-performance netball. Our netball programme is led by former London Mavericks player Amelia Hall, whose experience at the highest level helps young athletes develop both on and off the court.

One of the highlights of our sporting calendar is Strength in Her Stride, now in its second year. This unique event brings together students and staff from schools across the region for a day of sport-focused masterclasses and educational workshops designed to celebrate female participation in sport, build confidence and empower the next generation of female athletes. Our partnership with London Mavericks has played a key role in helping us elevate girls’ sport at Mill Hill, providing expertise, inspiration and support for initiatives such as Strength in Her Stride, which create meaningful opportunities for young women to thrive in sport and beyond.”

We are also looking forward to welcoming talented young athletes to our upcoming Sports Scholarship Assessments:

St Benedict's School - Gold Partner (Returning)

Hosting: UNDER 19 EMERGING ATHLETE PROGRAMME (EAP), PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (PDP)

“St Benedict’s joined the school partnership in September last year, and since then we have built a strong and valuable relationship with London Mavericks.

The partnership has created fantastic opportunities for our students, including access to coaching and educational experiences at the University of Hertfordshire. London Mavericks have also been incredibly generous in supporting our tour to Malaysia, providing merchandise that we were able to donate to the children at The Salvation Army children’s home.

Behind the scenes, the partnership has also given our students access to home matches at Wembley Arena and, importantly, opened up opportunities for our girls to be selected onto the pathway programme.

We are delighted to have signed the partnership for another year and look forward to continuing to build on the opportunities and experiences this partnership provides for our students.“

We have had a fantastic start to the season, with plenty of exciting opportunities and successes across our teams. Over the summer, our U15 team had the fantastic opportunity to tour Malaysia, gaining valuable experience both on and off the court. Our 1st VII senior team have also made an excellent start to their Sister n Sport campaign, securing an impressive 52–12 victory against St Margaret’s School. Meanwhile, our 2nd VII, U15 A and U15 B teams are preparing for their opening matches of the season. Our U14 team took part in the StoneX Cup, where they had a fantastic time meeting and playing against other partnership schools. We were particularly proud to see the team awarded the Fair Play Award, recognising their positive attitude and sportsmanship throughout the competition. Our 4th VII also enjoyed success in a recent triangular competition, winning both of their matches against Tiffin and Maida Vale. We are also delighted to announce that a number of our students have been selected for the PDP and EAP programmes. We wish them every success for the season ahead and look forward to following their progress.
