The date London Mavericks fans have been eagerly awaiting is finally here. The Netball Super League has unveiled the fixtures for the 2025 season. Eight teams will battle for a coveted spot in the season-ending Grand Final at The O2 in London marking the first time the showcase event will take place at this iconic venue as the League continues its journey towards professionalisation.

The action kicks off on Saturday, 8 March – International Women’s Day – with the new, stand-alone one-day tournament, the Netball Super Cup, at the Utilita Arena Sheffield, offering fans an exciting preview of what’s to come.

The regular NSL season begins the following weekend, featuring 14 action-packed rounds that lead up to the Major and Minor Semi-Finals, followed by the Preliminary Final – a thrilling new addition to extend the season over an additional three weekends.

Building on the success of last season’s Headline Fixture between the Mavericks and Manchester Thunder at the Ovo Arena Wembley, the London Mavericks have scheduled two more NSL fixtures at Wembley next year: Sunday, 11 May against London Pulse, and Sunday, 15 June against Manchester Thunder. Other Mavericks’ home venues include The Brentwood Centre and Hertfordshire Sports Village.

The Mavericks will open their NSL campaign away in Cardiff on Friday, 14 March, facing Lexis Nexis Cardiff Dragons at the House of Sport (7pm). They will make their home debut at The Brentwood Centre, Essex, on Sunday, 23 March, hosting NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball (4pm).

An all-London showdown awaits on Monday, 31 March, when the Mavericks travel across town to the Copper Box to take on London Pulse (7pm).

Rounds four and five feature exciting matchups with the League’s newest teams, as the Mavericks host Birmingham Panthers on 5 April before heading to the Midlands to face Nottingham Forest Netball (7.30pm).

Old rivalries will be renewed when the Mavericks host back-to-back NSL champions, Loughborough Lightning, at Hertfordshire Sports Village over the Easter weekend (Saturday, 19 April, 5pm), before traveling to Belle Vue Arena to take on Manchester Thunder on Monday, 28 April (7pm).

The reverse fixtures begin in May, with London Mavericks welcoming Lexis Nexis Cardiff Dragons and Nottingham Forest Netball to Hertfordshire Sports Village on Saturday, 3 May (4pm) and Saturday, 24 May (4pm) respectively They will also face London Pulse and Manchester Thunder at Ovo Arena Wembley on Sunday, 11 May (4pm) and Sunday, 15 June (4pm) – the final round of the regular season, where a spot in the Semi-Finals could be on the line.

Speaking about the new season, London Mavericks’ Director of Netball Tamsin Greenway said:

“We’re so excited for the new season to start. It feels like the countdown to that opening game against Cardiff Dragons has properly begun with today’s fixtures announcement. I’m sure there’ll be even more intensity to training this week when we pin the fixtures to the wall!

“There are so many incredible match ups to look forward to throughout the NSL 2025. The new structure should create really competitive fixtures, and I’m sure it will throw up some nail-biters when games go down to the wire.

“It’s brilliant to be back at the OVO Arena Wembley for two games this season. There’s something really special about that big match occasion. The experience at Wembley last season was incredible for fans and players alike, so we’re looking forward to recreating that electric atmosphere at our games.

“It will be exciting to make our home debut at The Brentwood Centre, as well as to catch up with our Mavs fans at Hertfordshire Sports Village. It’s so important to make NSL games accessible to as many sports fans as possible and with the new format extending the season they have a lot to look forward to. We want to play our part by showcasing entertaining, attacking netball and hope to see stands packed with Mavs fans, old and new!”
