At London Mavericks, our communities are at the heart of everything we do. Over the past three months, we’ve engaged in consultations with coaches, volunteers, teachers, fans, and our colleagues across counties and the region. Our goal is to better serve the wider netball community and make our games more accessible to supporters.
As part of this commitment, we’re excited to announce that The Brentwood Centre will host a London Mavericks’ Netball Super League game for the first time. While it’s just over a 40-minute drive from Hatfield, this new venue will significantly improve access for many of our communities across the East region who have previously missed out on attending our Netball Super League (NSL) fixtures.
Mavericks’ supporters know that one of our key ambitions for the new professional era is to hold 50% of NSL games in larger arenas to help grow the game and welcome even more fans to the sport we all love.
Building on last season’s success, when over 2,600 fans cheered us on at the OVO Arena Wembley, we’re thrilled to confirm that we’ll be returning to Wembley for a second fixture this season.
Ensuring access to our games for all netball fans remains a top priority for the club. That’s why we’ve worked hard to secure arena venues that cater to supporters in our Middlesex, London and East regions, while also staying true to our roots at Herts Sports Village, where three fixtures will take place this season.
London Mavericks CEO Kieran Crombie said:
“We’re incredibly excited to announce The Brentwood Centre as a new venue for the NSL 2025 season, alongside our games at the OVO Arena Wembley and Herts Sports Village.
“It’s crucial for us to ensure our matches are accessible to all netball fans. That’s why we carefully considered the locations for our arena games, with both the OVO Arena Wembley and the Brentwood Centre offering excellent access within approximately 45 minutes’ drive from HSV. Wembley is within 20 miles, and The Brentwood Centre within 35 miles of HSV.
“We were keen to confirm The Brentwood Centre as a new venue before NSL fixtures are announced on Tuesday 8th October to help Mavericks fans plan ahead, especially with the priority ticket window opening on Thursday 10th October.
“We’re enjoying working with our communities, establishing hubs in new regions, and strengthening relationships with partners in our traditional heartland. When we unite these powerful communities, the possibilities are endless. We can’t wait to welcome even more fans to the Mavericks family and to show them what we’re all about.”
