London Mavericks can today confirm that Assistant Coach Mikki Austin will leave the club ahead of the 2027 Netball Super League season.
Austin departs having made a significant contribution to the club both on and off the court. Throughout her time with the Mavericks, she has been instrumental in developing the team’s identity, supporting player development and helping to build a high-performance culture defined by ambition, connection and pride.
An exceptional coach, Austin has brought expertise, passion and unwavering commitment to every aspect of the programme. Her impact has extended well beyond matchday, fostering trusted relationships across the squad and creating an environment in which players and staff have been able to thrive.
London Mavericks Director of Netball, Tamsin Greenway, said:
“Mikki is an excellent coach who added so much value to me, the performance staff and the team last season. Her constant voice and passion for the sport shines through on and off the court. She worked with us to develop a new team and a new identity of playing last year and has helped lay the foundations of the way Mavericks want to play. I wish her every success moving forwards.”
Austin’s energy, competitive spirit and genuine care for people have made her an invaluable member of the Mavericks family. Her personality, humour and commitment to the club have earned the respect and admiration of players, colleagues and supporters alike.
