On Saturday 21st February, Mavericks make the journey north to Sheffield, where the stage is set at the impressive Utilita Arena Sheffield for the second edition of the Netball Super Cup.

The Super Cup is fast becoming one of the most exciting dates in the netball calendar, a high-intensity event that brings together the league’s best for a full day of elite competition. With silverware on the line and pride at stake, it’s a tournament that demands fast starts, fearless performances, and one that didn’t disappoint last season.

Last year, Emily Andrew etched her name into the history books, scoring the first-ever Super Shot on English soil.

It was a landmark moment in the competition’s debut year. With the Super Shot once again set to play a pivotal role, fans can expect more momentum swings and game-changing moments this weekend.

The Super Cup brings together all eight Netball Super League sides in a fast-paced group and knockout format, guaranteeing high-intensity action from the first centre pass.

Each team faces the other sides in their pool once, with results feeding into a ranked table. The top two teams from each group progress to the knockout stages.

The semi-finals will see:
Semi Final 1: 1st in Pool 1 vs 2nd in Pool 2
Semi Final 2: 1st in Pool 2 vs 2nd in Pool 1

The winners then meet in the final, where the first piece of silverware of the season will be decided.

Mavericks have been drawn into a fiercely competitive Pool 2, setting up three huge clashes across the afternoon.

First up is a London Derby against reigning Super Cup champions London Pulse at 12:40 – a high-intensity opener against the current holders.

At 14:55, Mavericks face Leeds Rhinos, who arrive with a refreshed look after adding seven new players to their squad since last season.

The final pool fixture sees Mavericks take on league heavyweights Manchester Thunder at 16:10 – one of the most dominant forces in Netball Super League history.

The semi-finals take place at 17:45 and 18:05, before the Super Cup final commences at 18:45 to round off the day’s action.

Sheffield awaits. The Super Cup is back. And Mavericks are ready.
