London Mavericks can confirm that Camilla Buchanan has decided to pursue different opportunities and will be leaving London Mavericks following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.

Camilla’s connection to Mavericks stretches back to 2008, when she joined the squad as a dynamic mid-courter. During her playing career she lifted a Netball Super League title, wore the captain’s armband as Vice-Captain, and became renowned across the league for her passion, resilience, and team first mentality.

Since moving into coaching, Camilla has continued to inspire. Her debut campaign as Mavericks Head Coach in 2022/23 showcased her natural leadership and her gift for nurturing young talent. These qualities earned her widespread respect from players, staff, and opposition alike.

In 2024/25, Camilla was a key part of why London Mavericks achieved a top four finish for the first time in over nine years. She won the title of Netball Super League Head Coach of the Year. For nearly two decades, Camilla has given her all to the club and she will be greatly missed by the squad, staff, and fans. She is tenacious, hard-working, and has always put the players and team above everything else.

Lucy Wray, Co-Owner of London Mavericks said

“Camilla is a brilliant person and has been such a huge part of Mavericks. We will miss her but know she will always be true to herself, and we hope she thrives in her next adventure.”

London Mavericks will not be replacing the Head Coach role. Tamsin Greenway will be assuming all head coach responsibilities alongside her Director of Netball role. Mikki Austin will be remaining as assistant coach.

Thank you Cam from all the team, staff, and fans!
