The London Mavericks Athlete Pathway is a structured and inspiring development journey designed to nurture talented netball players from grassroots through to elite performance. It provides athletes with access to high-quality coaching, competitive opportunities, and holistic support both on and off the court. Grounded in a commitment to excellence and personal growth, the pathway equips players with the technical skills, tactical understanding, and leadership qualities needed to succeed at the highest level of the sport. Beyond performance, it also emphasises education, wellbeing, and life skills, ensuring every athlete is empowered to thrive as both a player and an individual within the evolving landscape of professional netball.

Programme (ETP)
Entry Requirements 26.27
New to London Mavericks franchise or 25.26 season futures athletes MUST attend ETP trials.
U11 ETP = Years 5 & 6
Under 11 on 1st September 2026
U13 ETP = Years 7 & 8
Under 13 on 1st September 2026
U15 ETP = Years 9 & 10
Under 15 on 1st September 2026
U19 ETP = Years 11, 12 & 13
Under 19 on 1st September 2026
Player Development Programme (PDP)
Entry Requirements 26.27
Athletes wishing to trial for a London Mavericks PDP must have been in a County PDP, Franchise PDP or Academy programme for the 2025-26 season.
New players to franchise MUST attend the ETP Trials, where we will be identifying talented players to attend Pathway trials, to be considered for PDP.
We operate 5 u19 PDP’s across our region, and one U23 PDP.
For athletes who are currently in a County or Franchise PDP, or a Franchise Academy Squad, trial applications will open in June 2026.
Academy
Entry Requirements 26.27
All players wishing to be considered for an U19 or U17 Academy place must have been part of a County, Franchise PDP or Academy programme for the 2025-26 season.
New players to franchise MUST attend our ETP trials, where we will be identifying talented players who may be at the right level to trial for Academy places.
For athletes who are currently in a County or Franchise PDP, or a Franchise Academy Squad, trial applications will open in June 2026.
NXTGEN
Entry Requirements 26.27
Players wishing to be considered for a NXTGen, or NXtGen feeder group (U23 PDP) space should email their interest to trials@londonmavericks.co.uk.
Players will then be invited to trial.
NSL
