Bio

Ellie Rattu began playing netball at the age of 9 and steadily progressed through the England youth setup, representing the national team at U17, U19, and U21 levels. She experienced early success with the Europe Netball U17 team and was named vice-captain of the U19 team for a tour to Australia and New Zealand.

In 2021, Ellie earned her first call-up to represent England A during the Vitality Roses Reunited Series. That same year, she made her Netball Super League (NSL) debut with London Pulse. Her career continued to rise, and in October 2022, Ellie earned her first Vitality Roses senior cap during the Vitality Netball International Series against Uganda.

After three seasons with London Pulse, Ellie made the move to Mavericks for the 2023-24 season, further establishing herself as a key player in the NSL.

Ellie Rattu NSL Profile
Greenway is well aware of the essential part Ellie Rattu will play in London Mavericks’ line-up.

“Ellie is the ultimate team player with incredible talent. She’s a winner, having worked with Ellie in various roles over the years, I’ve seen her consistently contribute to the team’s culture. She’s a natural leader and is continuing to develop that skill.”

Speaking before she joined the England Roses for their Test match tour to Australia and New Zealand, Rattu said:

“I’m super excited for the new season. I think it’s going to be a great opportunity for teams to really step up their game and have a more levelled and balanced Super League. After struggling with some injuries last year, it felt like I hadn’t really made my mark yet, and I’m still very much wanting to do that for Mavericks.”
