Bio
Born in Melbourne, Uneeq Palavi is a powerful GS/GA who joins London Mavericks after establishing herself as one of the most exciting attacking talents in the world’s premier domestic netball competition, Suncorp Super Netball.
A Tongan Australian with a Samoan mother and Tongan father, Palavi made her international debut for Tonga in 2019 before announcing herself on the global stage at the 2023 Netball World Cup. She later represented Tonga at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, finishing as the tournament’s third-highest scorer with 219 goals across six matches at an outstanding 92.8% shooting accuracy.
Before making her move into SSN, Palavi enjoyed a hugely successful spell with City West Falcons in the Victorian Netball League (VNL) — one of Australia’s leading state-level competitions and a renowned pathway into elite netball. During her time with the Falcons, she claimed three VNL championships and built a reputation as a dominant and reliable goal scorer, capable of delivering on the biggest occasions.

Her rise continued in 2024 when she made her Suncorp Super Netball debut with the New South Wales Swifts as a temporary replacement player. After another opportunity with Melbourne Mavericks in 2025 as a training partner and temporary replacement player, Palavi earned a full SSN contract for the 2026 season and continued to showcase her ability at the highest level.
Across her two SSN seasons, Palavi made 25 appearances, scoring 182 goals and 60 Super Shots, while also recording 40 general play turnovers to highlight her influence beyond the shooting circle. She also claimed both MVP and Grand Final MVP honours at the 2022 Pacific Australia Netball Series, further underlining her ability to perform on the biggest stages.
Now, Palavi brings international experience, elite shooting ability and a winning mentality to London Mavericks as the club’s newest attacking addition.
With a CV featuring three VNL titles, Suncorp Super Netball experience, a Netball World Cup campaign and Commonwealth Games representation, Uneeq Palavi is ready to make her mark in London.
