London Mavericks have just made another power move, securing the signing of Suzie Liverseidge from Severn Stars, a versatile and dynamic midcourt force ready to shake things up in the upcoming season. After a standout year with the Stars in 2024, alongside previous stints with Loughborough Lightning, Liverseidge is primed to bring her attacking prowess and flair to the Mavericks.

Reflecting on her past season and what she brings to the team, Director of Netball Tamsin Greenway had nothing but high praise for her latest signing:

“Suzie is a really dominant midcourt attacking player. She can play across at wing attack and even step into the circle. Anybody who watched Stars last season saw how she controlled the attack and made a massive impact every time she entered the game.”

Liverseidge’s decision to move to the Mavericks was driven by the club’s exciting new vision, as well as the chance to work with a talented squad and coaching staff. Speaking about what attracted her to London Mavericks, Suzie shared:

“I was sold on the vision of the Mavericks. It’s a club with history, but they’re also changing the way they do things, and that’s really exciting to be part of. Hearing the goals for the future, seeing the other players on the squad, and knowing the quality of the staff, it all made it an easy decision for me. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

The addition of Liverseidge bolsters an already strong Mavericks midcourt, where she will link up with fellow playmakers Izzi Phillips, Amelia Hall and Ellie Rattu. Greenway is excited about the possibilities this combination brings to the table:

“She’s such a smart, creative player, a real playmaker. It’s going to be great to have people like her, Amelia and Ellie Ratu literally opening up the end third.”

As Suzie prepares to don the Mavericks jersey, she’s determined to make an immediate impact, both on and off court.

“I think being new to the club it will be key to build connections with the other girls, and then I think as a team, just putting out strong, consistent performances. And if we do that, we can definitely be up there overall in the league.”

With her creativity, vision, and versatility, Suzie Liverseidge is set to be a game-changer for London Mavericks. Fans should brace themselves for an exciting season ahead, as Suzie and her new teammates embark on their journey to success in the 2025 Netball Super League.
